In the heart of downtown Calgary, Alberta, a transformative infrastructure project is reshaping the city's urban core: the Calgary Event Centre. This $900 million undertaking marks a significant milestone in the revitalization of Calgary's entertainment and cultural district. At the centerpiece of the development is Scotia Place—a state-of-the-art arena that will serve as the future home of the Calgary Flames, replacing the iconic Saddledome. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the Event Centre is envisioned as a modern venue supporting sports, concerts, exhibitions, and major events, while also driving economic and social vibrancy in the region.
Danville, VA will soon be home to Caesars Virginia, a world class casino and hotel built by a joint venture between Caesars Entertainment and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Slated to open in 2024, the structure will host 500 hotel rooms, 40,000 sq ft of conference area with a 2,500 person capacity, as well as a 2,500 seat venue for live entertainment. FODS Trackout Control System was selected as the construction entrance BMP for the three egress points on the site to promote safety and reduce construction vehicle trackout.
